I’m a student at Texas A&M-Kingsville pursuing a degree in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Psychology. My goal as a Speech Pathologist is to help others with communication impediments, especially in children. My interests involve cooking, reading, and learning how to create crafts for my cousins. I know how positive arts and crafts are to children because I see their enthusiasm to complete something for their family. It’s an honor being part of an organization that will enrich the lives of so many children. I believe working with B.A.K.E will enhance my ability to interact with children and encourage them to achieve their goals.

I am a student and Texas A&M Kingsville studying Communication Sciences
and Disorders. When I’m not in school, I like to do creative things as in decorating or “DIY” projects. Baking is also another hobby of mine as well outdoor activities. Our organization B.A.K.E will focus on helping out children and making an educational purpose in their lives. I have been around children all my life, and my mother has a home day care where I grew up seeing young children every day. This is why I’m looking forward to contributing to this organization.

I am a Human Sciences major and currently a senior at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. My field of study is children and upon graduating, I would like to one day become a specialist to help children with physical developmental problems. My interests include food, cooking, learning new recipes and doing arts and crafts. I am a mother of two and enjoy making creative snacks and meals for them. I enjoy being a part of B.A.K.E. because I can contribute as much as I can to a great organization and build a brighter future with the experiences and knowledge I have gained.
Sandy Picasso - Researcher
I am the lead researcher of B.A.K.E. I come from a big family in Mexico but was mainly raised in Alice, Texas. At 21 years of age I’m currently enrolled at Texas A&M University Kingsville and majoring in Communicating Sciences and Disorders. I had many leadership roles throughout my high school years and hope to carry on that leadership into my future plans and projects. Although I still have to complete a few more years of school. I dream of one day being able to travel all around the world and experience things that so many would never imagine.
